Welcome to Elevate Animal Rehab!
Wendy Herlihy, DVM CVMA CCRT
Dr. Wendy Herlihy graduated from Colorado State Veterinary School in 2013. She went on to complete a year long internship at the Fort Collins Veterinary Emergency and Rehabilitation Hospital. Afterwards, she continued on with the Fort Collins ER and Rehab Hospital as a rehabilitation practitioner. She also went on to practice emergency medicine with the Colorado Veterinary Specialist Group in Highlands Ranch, CO. As the years went on, Dr. Herlihy found herself working more and more in the field of rehabilitation, where her passion lay. She went on to practice rehabilitation and sports medicine full time at Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital in Wheat Ridge, CO.
After much time in the fast-paced rehabiliation world, Wendy decided to slow things down and open Elevate Animal Rehab, a place where both owners and patients are treated like family and the time is taken to compassionately care for all the needs of the patient/owner pair.
Prior to attending vet school, Wendy was an instructor for the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS), leading climbing and mountaineering expeditions. She was also a professional sled dog racer, competing throughout the US and Canada.
Deena has been a veterinary technician since 2013. She began in traditional medicine and has since crossed over to rehabilitation medicine, as she loves the personlaized care rehab provides.
Deena was hand picked to join “Elevate” because of her authentic compassion, her attention to detail, and her intuitive gentle leadership that allow her patients to get the most out of their visits. She is able to blend a “get things done” attitude with a warmth and ease that her patients and clients feel.
Deena’s passions include mountain biking, Crossfit, hiking and her family. She lives in Arvada with her husband, son and daughter, brindle pitty mix, and cat.
